‎Here's how these Gen Z siblings from Manila turned tweets into a multi-million peso income.
‎From Simple Threads to a ₱56M Empire
‎It all started with a shared passion for writing and a deep understanding of what makes people stop scrolling. Angela, the younger of the two, began posting motivational threads and productivity hacks during the pandemic. Camille, a design student, joined in by adding visual content and infographics that quickly went viral.
‎Their content started gaining traction—fast. With each viral thread, their followers skyrocketed. Within a year, their account had over 800,000 engaged followers, mostly from the U.S., UK, and Southeast Asia.
‎The Turning Point: Monetizing with X
‎The sisters applied for X’s Ad Revenue Sharing Program in late 2024, and were accepted within weeks thanks to their massive reach and consistent engagement.
‎They didn’t stop there. They also:
‎Offered paid digital products like Notion templates, e-books, and mini courses on productivity and branding.
‎Partnered with global brands for sponsored tweets, charging as much as ₱200,000 per post.
‎Built an email newsletter that grew to 150,000 subscribers, which they later monetized via affiliate links and premium content.
‎“X Paid Us to Be Ourselves”
‎“We never imagined we'd make this kind of money by just being authentic and sharing what we love,” Angela said in an interview. “X paid us to be ourselves—and we’re proof that young Filipinas can dominate in the digital space.”
‎Camille added, “It’s not about having millions of followers. It’s about knowing your niche and building a real connection.”
‎What You Can Learn from the Santos Sisters
‎1. Consistency Wins – They posted daily, engaged with followers, and stayed on top of trends.
‎2. Content is Currency – They focused on value: whether it was helping people organize their life or telling relatable stories.
‎3. Monetize Smart – They diversified their income through X’s monetization tools, digital products, and brand deals.
‎Angela and Camille are now using a portion of their earnings to fund scholarships for underprivileged students in the Philippines. “It’s our way of giving back,” Camille shared.
‎Their story proves that with the right strategy, creativity, and hustle, anyone—regardless of age or location—can thrive in the creator economy.
