JAMB Cut-Off Mark for Universities 2025/2026: Full List for Federal, State and Private Institutions
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the general UTME minimum score required for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2025/2026 academic year. This crucial benchmark determines a candidate’s eligibility for admission into Nigeria’s federal, state, and private universities.
General JAMB Cut-Off Mark for 2025/2026
The national minimum JAMB cut-off mark for universities in 2025/2026 is 140. However, this is only a baseline. Institutions — especially competitive ones — are permitted to set higher minimum scores for various programs.
Why 140?
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, explained that the 140 cut-off was agreed upon after reviewing:
• Candidates’ overall performance in the UTME
• Institutional capacity and admission quotas
• National educational policy direction
